Will May 22nd be National Urchins Day?

FA Announce Non League Finals Day- and we might even be allowed spectators

We don't want to jump the gun- after all, Hornchurch still have to overcome the mighty Notts County at Meadow Lane if they are to make their way to the FA Trophy Final- but the FA have confirmed that Non League Finals Day will be held at Wembley on Saturday 22nd May, and that spectators may be present to watch.

In a statement yesterday evening our governing body released the following information:

'The FA’s 2020-21 Non-League Finals Day featuring both the Buildbase FA Trophy and Buildbase FA Vase Finals will be held at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 22 May 2021 with limited spectators in line with the UK Government’s ‘roadmap out of lockdown’ and further information will be provided at the earliest opportunity.

The four Finals will be broadcast live by BT Sport with respective kick off times and further details to be announced in due course.'

That trip to Notts County is scheduled for Saturday 27 March 2021, and will be behind closed doors. Wouldn't it be marvellous if our first chance to watch live football in months was at Wembley Stadium?

Come on you Urchins!
