Cooper goes back home

Defender Nathan heads back to Haywards Heath Town

Haywards Heath Town have announced the return to the club of long-serving defender Nathan Cooper, who has returned from a campaign- well, eleven matches- with local rivals Burgess Hill Town, where he scored in the last two.

Cooper was an enormous part of Heath's success during the 2010's, winning promotions and cups and helping the club to the South East Playoffs during 2018-19. During his period with the club he made more than two hundred appearances and scored a rather impressive thirty goals, close to world-beating for a centre back.

Nathan came through the youth side at nearby Step Five club Hassocks, and also turned out for the Hillians in an earlier spell many moons ago- but we're sure that nobody at Hanbury Park will mention that! Read more here.
