Five Towners sign on

A collection of experienced players agree to remain at Enfield

Enfield Town have been quite quiet on the transfer front so far, but yesterday announced a large amount of news all at once, as Billy Bricknell, Marc Weatherstone, Lewis Taaffe, Nathan McDonald and Ryan Blackman all agreed to start the new season at Donkey Lane.

Striker Billy joined the club in June 2018 after a stellar period at Billericay Town, and has now won the Isthmian League Cup- our Velocity Trophy- so many times we're considering renaming it after him. He scored eighteen goals for the club last season.

Marc has been at Donkey Lane since December 2018, joining the club after more than four hundred and fifty appearances for Wingate and Finchley. He was also- of course- part of the Dulwich Hamlet promotion squad in 2018. He made thirty eight appearances last season, and contributed four goals, although that isn't really his job!

Winger Lewis came in from Concord Rangers in the summer of 2018, and had a bit of s stop-start campaign last season, playing fourteen times, whilst keeper Nathan has been a star performer between the sticks at the QEII Stadium for years, and is still at the top of his game, playing more matches than anyone else at the club last season.

Midfielder Ryan has been with the club since the summer of 2017, after previously playing for Biggleswade Town, Canvey Island, Witham Town, Waltham Abbey and Tilbury. He made thirty four appearances last season, scoring seven times.
