Former Golden Boot winner heads to Aveley


Cheshunt striker David Knight has upped sticks and moved in a southerly direction to join Aveley.

Knight, who has made six appearances for the Ambers this season, scoring once, moved to Cheshunt from Tilbury, where he spent most of last season and was rather prolific, scoring nineteen goals in only twenty one games across all competitions.

Even that wasn't as prolific as he was for Bowers and Pitsea in 2018-19, when he got an incredible forty three goals in all competitions. This total included hat tricks against Felixstowe and Walton United, Basildon United and Dereham Town, and four-goal hauls against both Barking and Takeley- the latter in the FA Cup.
