Romford management team departs

By Ian Townsend

New investor quick to ring the changes

Following the announcement this morning that former Billericay Town owner/manager Glenn Tamplin was now investing in Romford FC- read more here- the club have now confirmed that manager Paul Martin and his background team have left the club.

A second statement of the day, which can be found on the club website here, explains:

'As of Lunchtime Tuesday Romford FC have parted company with Manager Paul Martin, Mark Lord and the backroom team.

It was felt with the new investment coming into the club it was the right time for a fresh start.
It would be difficult to put in words the impact and legacy that Magic and Lordy have had on the club, and were well respected and liked not just in our club but across the non league world.

We appreciate this is a lot of information for supporters to take in at the moment, but ask that you bear with us during this transition.

A new management team of 4 people have been put in place who have access to players at higher levels, including league two. Some of those players will be available for Saturdays home game against Coggeshall.'

We'll bring you more on the new management team as soon as we have it.

Where next?
