When global gambling giant UNIBET were looking for a location to shoot their new series of football documentaries the Magpies provided the answer thanks to former player Ben Cove, the company’s global head of content who is producing the series and knows all about the facilities at The Sports Park.
Former French international and Manchester United striker Louis Saha and ex- Spurs and England stars Jermaine Jenas and goalkeeper Paul Robinson are pictured with Cove during the two days of filming this week for the first show which is due to be aired on UNIBET’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels in June.
Cove said: “We're filming different parts of this particular production across Europe and all over the world; at locations from Miami to Dubai. But Peacehaven will always feel like home to me, so when I needed a Non-League football ground as a location, The Sports Park at Piddinghoe Avenue made perfect sense.”
He added: “Thank-you to everyone at the club for the warm welcome and helping to facilitate what promises to be a hugely successful series. It was great to bring a little bit of glamour to the local area."
Under brilliant sunshine the trio, F2Freestylers Billy Wingrove and Jeremy Lynch, footballing extras and a sizeable production crew even attracted a growing crowd of onlookers as word spread locally about the stars on their doorsteps.
