Thatcham Town last night announced the return of striker Shane Cooper-Clarke, who managed an almost-unbelievable sixty two goals for the club in 2017-18, including a Wembley winner. They added a pair of safe hands at the other end of the pitch, too, confirming the return of another FA Vase winner, goalkeeper Chris Rackley.
Shane spent four seasons with the Kingfishers having joined them from Bracknell Town in November 2015. He managed thirty eight goals in a season whilst with the Robins, too. He has also turned out for Binfield, and you might recall a brief cameo with Bracknell once more during 2019-20, when he made six appearances and scored in a win at Bedfont Sports.
Chris Rackley spent five years with the club during his first spell. Chris spent five years at Thatcham Town, winning the FA Vase at Wembley, before leaving the club in March 2019. He signed for Basingstoke Town, before joining Marlow in July of the same year.
He didn't actually play for Marlow and was soon back at Basingstoke, before joining Bracknell Town in November 2019. He made four appearances for the Robins, which ended in two draws and two defeats. He has since played for Northwood and Thame United.
