A new duo at the Whisky Bible Stadium

By Ian Townsend

Shortly before yesterday's kick off, Merstham announced two additions

In the approach to kick off against Hornchurch yesterday Merstham boss Frank Wilson continued to rebuild his squad, announcing the arrivals of Delano Sam-Yorke and Liam Smith.

Delano is a much-travelled former Cambridge United, Lincoln City, Woking and Maidstone United striker, but you'll probably know him better from the twenty appearances he made for Kingstonian last season, during which he scored six goals. He was a second half substitute yesterday, and you can read more on his arrival here.

Liam arrives on a dual-registration deal from Tonbridge Angels. The full back was a big part of Angels promotion squad last season, and indeed his stats show that his side kept ten clean sheets during the twenty six matches that he played in. A graduate of their youth scheme, he made his first team debut at sixteen- and indeed is still only nineteen years old. He went straight into Wilson's starting line up yesterday, and you can read more about his signing here.
