Matte Pearson heads back to Bedfont


Bedfont Sports have softened the blow caused by the departure of keeper Dimiitrios Kyriatzis to Royston Town by bringing back a former hero, with the return to the club of Matte Pearson.

Matte won the Players Player and Managers Player of the Year Awards back in 2018-19 when life was normal, as Sports finished their first Isthmian campaign in a respectable twelfth place, playing some fabulous football in the process (Uxbridge, particularly, might want to forget their meetings that season). Since then he has been with Merstham, where he made thirty seven appearances before 2019-20 fell over and five more the following season; and East Grinstead Town, where he has played nineteen times this season.
