A pair of Hawks!

Harlow announce the arrival of an experienced professional defender, and the promotion of one of their own

Harlow Town yesterday announced two additions to their first team squad, having given them both competitive debuts in their FA Cup win over Enfield on Tuesday night.

First up is defender Craig Alcock, who will be keeping them out in the Pitched In Isthmian South Central Division in 2020-21 after playing at a much higher level until now.

Craig has spent a large proportion of his career as a Glover, coming through the youth ranks at Yeovil Town before bursting into the first team squad. After many years he moved on to Peterborough United, making almost a century of appearances for Posh before heading to Yorkshire to become a Blade. He stayed in the county after leaving Sheffield United, playing for Doncaster Rovers, before moving to Cheltenham Town and then, last season, back to where it all began, with Yeovil. He made his last appearance for the club in mid February.

Craig's journey through the ranks to professional success may well be an inspiration to the other new member of the Hawks first team squad, after they announced that Marcus Marku has moved up from the reserves. We don't know much about Marcus, but we look forward to finding out!
