Billy Crook moves around the M25 from Aveley, whilst Harold Joseph travels a little further, from Enfield Town, as Cray Wanderers add a duo


Cray Wanderers have announced the arrival of Aveley midfielder Billy Crook and Enfield Town defender Harold Joseph.

Billy was an important part of the Millers promotion-winning side in the closing stages of last season, after joining from Tilbury. He came through the youth ranks at Crystal Palace before signing his first professional deal at Peterborough United. He had loan spells at Weymouth and Histon, but Isthmian watchers will undoubtedly remember him from his periods at Tooting & Mitcham United, Dulwich Hamlet, Carshalton Athletic, Met Police, Enfield Town and East Thurrock United.

Further up the pyramid, he won National League South promotion with Braintree Town, came close with Dartford.

Harold spent the last two seasons on Donkey Lane, and made fifteen appearances last season. He also spent two years as a Towner between 2015 and 2017, making eighty appearances.

A former Barnet professional, he also played at a high level for Stevenage, before turning out additionally for Hayes & Yeading United, Wingate & Finchley and Harlow Town. He's also been with St Albans, Royston Town, and more recently Welling United.
