Elphick signs on again for Hastings

Veteran defender wants another crack at promotion

Hastings United have announced that Gary Elphick has signed on for another season at Pilot Field.

Elphick joined the club after leaving Burgess Hill Town in March 2019, and made thirty two appearances as the club led the promotion chase before the 2019-20 season came to a premature end. He followed that with another twelve appearances before the 2020-21 season came to a premature end. Here's hoping that the 2021-22 season might actually be played to a finish.

Speaking to the club website, he explained:

“I am delighted to have committed to another season at The ‘U’s. I’m enjoying my football at Hastings too much to stop and whilst my body still feels good, I wish to carry on playing. Somehow my mission of promotion still hasn’t been achieved so I am highly motivated in helping the club, staff, players and fans in achieving this. Hopefully at no fault of our own it’ll be third time lucky!”
