Four more for Town

Witham confirm four more

Witham Town yesterday announced four signings for the forthcoming 2020-21 Pitching In Isthmian North season, waited until we'd covered them here, and then announced four more just to catch us out!

Jordi Papple has been announced as a striker, but we have him down as a midfielder so perhaps he's just rather versatile for one so young. Last season he was part of the Braintree Town Youth Team.

Liam Whipps signs on once more- but that was surely never in doubt as the player is Town through and through. Last season he played more minutes than anyone else at the club, with thirty five appearances, and this will be his fifth season as part of the first team squad. He is joined by goalkeeper Rhys Madden, a player who first played for Witham more than a decade ago, and managed a goal back in 2009, scoring against Leyton. He has also played for Ware, Bowers & Pitsea and Aveley, and managed twenty nine appearances last season.

Finally, Albert Perry signs on. Attacking midfielder Albert ended last season at Basildon United, playing half a dozen times and scoring in the Velocity Trophy match with Folkestone Invicta, which was eventually won by the Premier Division outfit on penalties.

Where next?
