Blues keeper heads to Cheshunt

It is almost a week since Wingate and Finchley announced the departure of their goalkeeper Shane Gore, so for all of you wondering where he would end up, now you know!

Shane spent four seasons with the Blues, a crucial part of the side that reached the Premier Division Playoffs in 2016-17 and an almost ever-present since, making thirty nine appearances last season before the world came to a halt. He won the Player of the Year Award at the club three times in four years, and prior to his time at Summers Lane he played for Wimbledon, Barnet, Havant & Waterlooville, Maidenhead United and East Thurrock United amongst others, and made more than three hundred appearances for Chesham United over six years.

Ambers boss Craig Edwards told the club website:

"Shane has a wealth of experience which will no doubt help the progression of fellow keepers Harry Girling and James Harkin.”
