Jeff Pettit is an Isthmian League refereeing legend, and as well as his sterling work at our level was a Football League and Premier League Assistant Referee, an FA observer and a coach at the Charlton Athletic Academy. Sadly he is currently in very poor health, suffering from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), an uncommon brain disorder that effects movement control of walking and balance, speech, swallowing, vision and thinking. The disease results from damage to nerve cells in the brain.
Because of his condition, Jeff will soon need specialist residential nursing care, and his family and friends have set up a crowdfunding page in an attempt to raise money for this. They've been in touch to ask for our support in sharing this, and of course we're glad to help. We would be extremely grateful if you could head here and give what you can.
Jeff has dedicated his life to our game. Let's give him something back.
