Hornets progress

New ground for Horsham growing by the day

Horsham seem to be making remarkable progress both on and off the pitch. On it, they prepare to entertain Ashford United at Culver Road (Lancing) on Saturday from second place in the South East Division table, seemingly guaranteed at least a Playoff spot and with only two defeats from their last ten matches. Off it, after many, many years as wandering nomads a return to their home town, and their arrival at their new Hop Oast home, looks imminent.

If you click here you'll see the latest images of the new stadium, taken- like the one we've borrowed to illustrate this article- by CEO John Lines. The main buildings are up, the pitch is being laid, and the view from the main stand looks fabulous. All that's missing are a few hundred supporters and eleven chaps in yellow and green- and it shouldn't be long before they are able to take their places.

We'll be there to celebrate when the Hornets return home, whenever it happens- and whichever division they might be in.
