Margate bring in Whitstable winger

Ufuah heads to Hartsdown Park

Yesterday Whitstable Town announced that winger John Ufuah had left the Belmont for a Step Three club, so we wondered where his destination was going to be. Well we didn't have to wait for long, as this afternoon he was announced as a new arrival for Margate.

John moved to the Oysterboys from Leatherhead, where he'd made sixteen appearances- mainly from the bench- during 2018-19. He certainly wasn't held in reserve by Whitstable, who first gave him the number eleven shirt and then thrust him into the number seven, and he made thirty four appearances last season, scoring four goals.

Margate boss Jay Saunders said:

“I’m pleased to welcome John to Margate. He is a young lad with bags of potential and offers us something to different to what we had last year. He’s quick, direct, hard-working and can score goals.”
