Oysterboys bring in former Dons and Cobblers midfielder

Whitstable Town's new coach has a big pedigree- and still has his boots!

Whitstable Town have announced Ben Harding as their new coach, following the departure of Steve Nolan, who is relocating.

Ben will be a player/coach, and he has a great deal of experience to bring to the side, having featured for both Wimbledon and MK Dons, Northampton Town, Aldershot Town, Torquay United, Wycombe Wanderers, Gosport Borough and Truro City. He also spent some time as interim manager of the White Tigers, but has since left Cornwall and headed to Kent, where he has been doing some coaching work.

Manager Lloyd Blackman told the club website:

“I’m very pleased to announce the signing of Ben Harding as our new player-coach. Hards and I have been speaking for the last six weeks and I’m delighted to have him on board.

He adds valuable experience to the young group on the pitch as well as being an outstanding young coach whom the players have been impressed with and taken really well to.

He’s had a great career within the professional game and will be an excellent addition to our playing squad."
