Pope Ben III

Hastings striker Ben signs on for a third crack at promotion

Hastings United have announced that striker Ben Pope, who joined the club from Lewes back in May 2019, has signed up once more as the club hope to make it third time lucky in 2021-22- and we hope to finish a season for the first time in three years.

Ben started his career at Worthing, and later played for Burgess Hill Town before signing for the Rooks. He had twenty three goals to his name when the 2019-20 season was brought to a halt, and had four more last season before that, too, fell foul of coronavirus.

Pope is the fourth United player to sign for the forthcoming season, after Ollie Black, Gary Elphick and Jack Dixon also agreed to stay.
