Rams bring in a new Assistant boss

Lee Barnett is the new number two at Ramsgate

Ramsgate have announced that Lee Barnett has joined the club as Assistant to manager Matt Longhurst.

Barnett formerly worked with Longhurst at Corinthian and at Erith and Belvedere. In his playing career he played for Queens Park Rangers, and then nearer home at Welling United, Hastings United, Sevenoaks Town and Chatham Town.

Speaking to the club website, Longhurst was delighted to welcome Barnett to the club.

“Lee is a great addition to the management team. He has worked with me at all my previous clubs, but work and family commitments didn’t allow him to come to Ramsgate when I first came in.”

“He really understands the way I work. He is a big character to have around the club. He will bring additional experience at this level as a player and coach, which will enhance the group off the pitch as well as on it."
