Romford reinforce

By Ian Townsend

We have incoming...another collection of new signings at Romford

If anyone thought that the flurry of transfer activity that accompanied the Tamplin takeover of Romford last week was at an end, well, you were wrong. But let's be fair, nobody really thought that, did they? Last night Boro's new owner/manager announced- via his personal Twitter account- another four additions to his new squad- and so far this morning there have been two more.

Last night saw the arrival of striker Adam Morgan. He started life at Liverpool but didn't manage to hit the heights at Anfield, and later played for Yeovil Town, Accrington Stanley, Halifax Town, Mossley and Widnes.

He was joined by defender Ryan Cresswell, who you might remember from Bury, Rotherham United, Southend United, Fleetwood Town and Northampton Town amongst others, and midfielder Mekhi Leacock-McLeod who played for Billericay Town in 2016-17 and has more recently spent time with Coggeshall Town and last season played for Halifax Town, Welling United and VCD Athletic.

The fourth Monday arrival was midfielder Jake Hall, another former Billericay Man who has also played for Boston United, Boreham Wood, Bromley and Grays Athletic.

Now, onto this mornings list! We already told you about Briggs Ojeman and Tambesong Eyong last week, so unless they've left and come back again we're not quite sure why they are included in this mornings Twitterfest. But new (to us, anyway- although he scored on Saturday) is Phil Roberts, a striker who went through his youth days at Norwich City and Arsenal and has more recently played for Dartford and Hemel Hempstead Town, Chelmsford City and Braintree Town- and also played north of the border for Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Falkirk and Dundee, home of that rather lovely cake.

Finally (no, we don't believe that either), Theo Ola, who has formerly turned out for Histon and Barking, is now a Boro boy.

We understand- again courtesy of social media- that Sam Bantick has now left the club.
