Standen goes back to the Pan for Leon

Rooks defender is now a new type of bird- a Hawk!

New Whitehawk manager Ross Standen has returned to former club Lewes to make a signing, with the club announcing the arrival of defender Leon Redwood.

Leon, primarily a left back, arrived at the Dripping Pan for the first time during 2015-16, left, and then returned during 2017-18- becoming a very important part of the side that clinched promotion from the Isthmian South Division. He made nineteen appearances during the Rooks first campaign in our top flight, twenty five last season, and has made seven more this time around.

He started his career at that other football club in Brighton and also played for Brentford, before moving Non League with Chelmsford City, Burgess Hill Town and Eastbourne Borough.

By the way, despite the flag in the picture, we've no evidence he's ever played in Plymouth!
