Hastings United sign Andrew Sesay, after he spent just over ten minutes at Hythe Town

Eight days after we announced his arrival at Hythe Town, forward Andrew Sesay has moved from the Kent coast to the Sussex seaside, signing for Hastings United. He managed two appearances, making his debut in the win at Haywards Heath Town and saying goodbye in defeat to Whitstable Town.

Andrew moved to the Cannons from Tooting and Mitcham United, where he signed on in the summer and had made eleven appearances, scoring four goals- including a hat trick in a seven-three win over Northwood.

He previously played for Whyteleafe, where he made three appearances last season, and five- with three goals- during 2019-20. He also made four appearances for Bridges at the end of last season, scoring once, following twenty three appearances and six goals during 2019-20 and nine at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

Prior to his Leafe and Bridges stints he played for Greenwich Borough and Tonbridge Angels.

Boss Gary Elphick told the club website:

“Sesay will be an exciting acquisition to the squad, he adds a different dimension to our attacking options. I’ve watched him in the last few seasons now, he has blistering pace and I’m sure we’ll improve him as a player as well. I look forward to working with him.”
