Two Hawks become Rams

By Ian Townsend

Ramsgate sign two Whitehawk stars

Ramsgate have announced the signing of Whitehawk success stories Javaun Splatt and Leon Redwood.

Javaun joined the Hawks last summer from Tonbridge Angels, and had a very successful season despite his side struggling, scoring an impressive nineteen goals.

He joined Angels after departing those other Rams, Derby County, where he was an Under 18 and Under 23 squad member. Isthmian watchers might also remember him from his loan spells at Carshalton Athletic and Chipstead, as well as- and this is unlikely- from his time as a very young prospect at Dulwich Hamlet.

Leon made twenty seven appearances for the Hawks last season, mainly at full back/wing back. He came through the youth setup at Brighton & Hove Albion and also spent time at Brentford, before dropping down to our ranks and turning out for Lewes. He also spent time with Chelmsford City, Eastbourne Borough and Burgess Hill Town.
