Two more Moatsiders

By Ian Townsend

Shortly after we confirmed one, they went and announced two more!

We brought you the news that Merstham had signed Brighton and Hove Albion forward Jack Leahy, and almost as soon as we hit the publish button Frank Wilson went and added two more, in a desperate attempt to make us work harder!

As you might have noticed, Leahy marked his debut at East Thurrock United with a goal, but another two debutants also contributed to the point gained at the Rocks. Tyla Dickinson may already be known to watchers of the Pitching In Isthmian League, as the QPR keeper, who has joined on loan, spent time at Waltham Abbey last season.

The young stopper, who started his career at Tottenham Hotspur, joined Rangers in 2012 and has played for both youth and Under 23 sides. He made four appearances for the Abbotts during his short time there.

Alongside Tyla and Jack yesterday was a new full back, Jude Mason, who has moved over on loan from Sutton United. Jude came through the Academy at Gander Green Lane and this isn't his first loan spell, as he has also spent time with Hampton and Richmond Borough and Walton Casuals.
