Two new Seasiders

Ben Fowkes and Seth O'Neill sign on at Felixstowe and Walton United

We're catching up on the remaining transfers which were announced prior to last week's deadline day. There were quite a number, and with the amount of football we had over the Easter weekend we're a little behind!

Felixstowe and Walton United announced a double signing prior to the Easter programme, with the arrivals of Ben Fowkes and Seth O'Neill.

Ben moves to the seaside from National League North side Peterborough Sports. He signed for Sports in the summer after two prolific seasons for Leiston and Needham Market in the Pitching In Southern Premier- two seasons which saw him contribute more than fifty goals. He signed for Leiston in September of 2022, on loan from Braintree Town, and as well as the Marketmen has also previously turned out for Norwich United, Lowestoft Town, Wroxham and Diss Town.

Seth comes in on loan from Ipswich Town. He has already spent some time in Pitching In Isthmian North this season, playing eighteen times on loan at Stowmarket Town- indeed he was sent off for Stow in their two-one defeat against his new club on New Years Day (although he might not thank us for the reminder!). The full back was with AFC Sudbury when very young, but joined the Tractor Boys aged thirteen and has been playing for the Under 21 side at Portman Road.

He has also spent a short time on loan at one of our former clubs, Cambridge City.

Ben played in both of the Seasiders Easter fixtures, whilst Seth was on the bench for Saturday's draw with Ipswich Wanderers but it yet to make his debut.
