Wingate give K's the Blues, Casuals and Stortford get four- but Chichester and Chertsey do better, with six!

Pitching In Isthmian Premier Division

Kingstonian remain at the top of the tree after last night’s results- but only because Folkestone Invicta conceded a late equaliser at East Thurrock United. The K’s, who went into last night’s match at Wingate and Finchley with a one hundred percent record, certainly didn’t leave Summers Lane with a sunny disposition after the Blues became the first side in any competition to inflict defeat on them. Bilal Sayoud opened the scoring after twenty two minutes, Sam Hatton doubled the advantage from the spot after forty five, and although a Gus Sow penalty- his fourth converted spot kick of the season and sixth goal- gave the visitors hope with nineteen minutes remaining, Sayoud stepped up again right at the end to make it three-one and send the Blues up to fourteenth.

Invicta looked certain to take over at the top, after David Smith’s opener just before the break remained the only goal of the game with two minutes remaining. Alex Hernandez thought better of that, however, with a last-gasp equaliser.

Invicta are second, and our only unbeaten side after Margate finally fell last night, losing two-one at Hornchurch despite Ben Greenhalgh giving them the lead just after the restart. The Urchins hit back, Sam Higgins getting two in nine minutes as they got back to winning ways and climbed to eighth. Margate slip to sixth.

Enfield Town were on their way to a goalless draw until three minutes after the ninety were up, Lewis Taafe stepping up to give them the three points and leave Haringey Borough with none. The Towners ended the night in third, whilst Worthing are looking back to their best in fourth after a four-nil win at Leatherhead. Dan Cox opened the scoring in the first half, and after the break Oliie Pearce, Reece Myles-Meekums and Mo Diallo added three more.

Lewes make up the top five, the Rooks travelling to Merstham and emerging with three goals and three points. Ollie Tanner gave them an early lead, and although the Moatsiders struck back through James Richmond, Kyron Richards- on as a substitute only five minutes earlier- restored the lead just before the break and another from Tanner wrapped things up just after the hour.

Bognor Regis Town have now drawn three of their six matches so far after picking up another point at Horsham. Will Miles gave the Hornets the lead on eighteen minutes, Craig Robson scored for the second time in four days to draw the Rocks level, and that was that so far as goals were concerned.

Cheshunt are just behind the Rocks in tenth place, and got back to winning ways at Potters Bar Town. Ken Charles got the opener nine minutes before the break, Zack Newton made it two fifteen minutes from time, and although Ben Ward-Cochrane briefly gave the Scholars hope just before the end that hope was very brief, as Charles went straight up the other end and made it three.

Next we have two big winners. Bishop’s Stortford look to be finding their feet, and certainly were far brighter than Brightlingsea Regent at the Taydal. Ryan Charles, Archie Edwards and Frankie Merrifield put them three up, Ken Feyi got one back from the spot, and Jake Cass wrapped things up with his fifth of the season six minutes from time to make it four-one and make quite sure of three points.

Corinthian-Casuals did even better, managing their four goals against Cray Wanderers without conceding any. Warren Mfula got three of them, whilst Emmanuel Mensah got the other as Casuals climbed to thirteenth. Pitching In isthmian North Division

AFC Sudbury had the chance to go top if they could defeat Dereham Town, but they lost that chance- and their unbeaten record- as the Magpies left with the points. Rhys Logan got the visitors first and third goals, Adam Hipperson the one in the middle, and Romario Dunne’s second in four days may have given the hosts hope, but it was soon dashed. The yellows stay second, but the Magpies are now on their shoulders and cawing into their ear, behind them only on goal difference.

Witham Town are fourth, coming from behind at Basildon United to grab a point. Newly signed Bertie Brayley put the Bees ahead on the half hour, only for Rokas Janilionis to equalise ten minutes from time.

Stowmarket Town grabbed a late win at Heybridge Swifts- playing the first competitive match on their new 3G pitch. Town took the lead just after the break through Robbie Sweeney, but Andrew Fennell equalised soon afterwards for Swifts. Nine minutes from time Ollie Brown stepped up to seal an away win, leaving Town in eighth and their hosts rock bottom.

Felixstowe and Walton United, in ninth, were our big winners, scoring four at Hulbridge Sports. Joao De Carlos gave the hosts the lead just after the half hour, but that stung the Seasiders into action, Ollie Canfer and Josh Hitter putting them ahead before the break, Stuart Ainsley and Hitter once more securing the points after it.

Bury Town must have thought they had all three points after Ryan Horne’s seventh minute strike had given them a lead which they held for eighty two minutes, but Sam Bantick stepped up with a late equaliser for Coggeshall Town. The hosts had played with ten men for most of the match after Ryan Jolland departed involuntarily on ten minutes, so perhaps their tired legs caught up with them.

Tilbury got their first win of the season, a Lewis Smith double ensuring they defeated Great Wakering Rovers two-one. Jake Gordon got a last minute consolation, but that was all it was.

Pitching In Isthmian South Central Division

Bracknell Town and Uxbridge keep pace at the top of the table, both winning to climb to thirteen points. The Robins were at Thatcham Town and struck twice in the first eight minutes, three times in the first half, four times in the first forty seven minutes to ease to victory. Joe Grant, George Knight (2) and Daniel Bayliss got those goals, whilst the Kingfishers didn’t get any.

Uxbridge saw Anthony Mendy get goals seven and eight for the season in their two-nil win over Hanwell Town. Mendy, remarkably, has scored in every league match so far- indeed the only side to keep him out were Chesham United in an FA Cup draw, and even then he scored against them in the replay!

Marlow continued their magnificent form, and have still yet to concede a goal. They only scored one, but it was enough to maintain their one hundred percent record as they defeated Northwood, Marcus Mealing with the all-important strike.

Chertesy Town were the big winners. They hit six against Chalfont St Peter, perhaps stung into action when the Saints took a sixth minute lead through Dawid Rogalski. Ashley Lodge quickly struck back, Jake Baxter put the hosts ahead in the thirteenth minute, and Mark Bitmead made it three in the twentieth. After the break Magnus Abisogun, Bryan Taylor and a Bitmead penalty made it six and sent the Curfews into fifth place.

Binfield are in seventh, the Moles becoming the latest side to wallop Staines Town, winning four-one. Callum Bunting and a double from Josh Helmore made it three before the break, and whilst Jack Torbett got one back for the Swans Asa Povey made it four just before the end. Helmore now has five goals for the season, scoring in every match he’s played in apart from Saturday’s draw with Chipstead.

The Chips were at Tooting and Mitcham United, the Terrors picking up their first win of the campaign- but only just. Michael Dixon gave the hosts the lead, Chris Boulter equalised on the stroke of half time, and Dan Williams got what proved to be the winner nine minutes after the break. Tooting are up to fourteenth, Chipstead drop to seventh.

Pitching In Isthmian South East Division

Ashford United and Haywards Heath Town head up the South East table, the Nuts and Bolts ahead on goal difference as both have thirteen points. United came through in a tough match against Herne Bay, finishing it with ten men after leading scorer Thomas Fagg saw red with sixteen minutes remaining. Jay May and Johan ter Horst gave them a two goal first half lead, only for Zak Ansah to halve it just before the break, and that was that for goals, if not for incident.

Heath travelled to a much-improved Lancing, and got the only goal of the game only eight minutes from the end. Tom Gilbert scored it, and the visitors remain one of only three sides to stay unbeaten.

The third of those are the side in third place, Ramsgate, who squeaked a two-one win over Faversham Town. Callum Peck and Josh Ajayi- the latter with his sixth of the season- put the Rams two up during a five minute period early in the second half, but Harry Harding almost immediately got one back to make the last half an hour tense for both sides. No more goals arrived, and Town ended the day in fourteenth.

Hastings United climb to sixth after victory at Burgess Hill Town, but it was far more difficult that they’d have liked. The visitors got two goals almost immediately before half time, David Martin and Sam Hasler with those, and when Ollie Black made it three after sixty eight minutes it was surely game over- but the Hillians thought otherwise, and late goals from Lewis Finney and Max Miller made things interesting and saw our title favourites having to hold on a little as the end approached.

Hythe Town saw first half goals from Liam Smith and Frannie Collin- the latter getting his second in four days- earn them victory over Sittingbourne. Kane Rowland got one back for the Brickies with eighteen minutes left, but they couldn’t get another and the Cannons held on for victory.

Our big winners were Chichester City, who hit Sussex rivals Whitehawk for six! Callum Overton managed two in the first six minutes, and although Javaun Splatt hit back for the Hawks with his second in four days, rather like the first it turned out to be no more than a consolation. Three goals in eight minutes just before the break for Rob Hutchings, Lloyd Rowlatt and Gicu Iordache made it five at half time, and the only goal of the second half went to Tyrone Madhani for the hosts, who are up to ninth. The Hawks sit in seventeenth.

Our match of the night was at East Grinstead Town, who served up an eight goal thriller against Cray Valley PM. Jack Sammoutis gave the visitors a sixth minute lead only for the hosts to hit back five minutes later through Marco Sousa Pina. Just before the break Marcel Barrington restored the Millers lead but only for a matter of seconds before Troy Walter equalised, and they went in level. Walters gave the wasps the lead for the first time on sixty six minutes, but again it was deadlock shortly afterwards, Barrington getting his second of the night. The last words, however, went to the hosts, and to Seidou Sanogo, who got a brace in the seventy first and eighty third minutes to send the Wasps up to thirteenth.

Sevenoaks Town got back to winning ways at Phoenix Sports. Danny Divine and Louis Collins made it nil-two at the break, and in the second half Jyle De Silva wrapped up a three-nil victory.

Finally, we had two one-one draws. Ben Bacon opened the scoring for Three Bridges at Corinthian only for Luke Tanner to equalise just before the break and claim a point, whilst Whitstable Town got their first point of the season with a late, late goal at home to VCD Athletic. Gus Barnes got that late goal, and the Oysterboys actually scored both goals, as it was an own goal that had given Athletic the lead eleven minutes earlier.
