Potters Bar defender signs on at Kingstonian

Kingstonian have announced the signing of Potters Bar Town defender Alfie Young.

Alfie has only been with the Scholars since October, when he made the long trip north from Worthing. He has made eleven appearances since then, the last of them in defeat to Brightlingsea Regent on January 18th.

He made half a dozen appearances for the Mackerel Men this season, the last one a scoring one, in the win over East Thurrock United on September 11th- although he was an unused substitute in two matches after that. He made thirty three appearances during 2019-20, and a couple more last season, which was interrupted for him by injury as well as by the lockdown which impacted on all of us.

Prior to his time as a Mackerel Man he came through the Watford Academy, before moving on to play for Hendon and Wingate and Finchley. He made nine appearances for the Greens during our 2016-17 season, and another eighteen for the Blues during that same campaign.

He may get to face his former Worthing team mates in the Velocity Trophy on Wednesday.
