FA Trophy- Second Round Qualifying- draw made

By Ian Townsend

Who did your team get?

The draw for the Second Qualifying Round of the Buildbase FA Trophy was made earlier today, and it left us with a collection of all-Isthmian ties and potentially some rather long journeys for our clubs.

Haywards Heath Town will travel to Royston Town, conquerors of Brightlingsea Regent at the weekend- but that could be like popping next door when compared to the journey of Kingstonian, who might well have to travel to Truro City. Aveley will have a trek whatever happens, either to Taunton or to Wimbourne, whilst Potters Bar Town could be off to Wales if Merthyr win their replay.

A little more local, Basildon United's reward for their magnificent victory on Saturday isa home tie with Hornchurch, whilst we've a Sussex derby as Whitehawk travel to Hastings United.

Perhaps the most intriguing tie sees our league leaders, Folkestone Invicta, travel to face the standout performers from the entire league, Maldon & Tiptree.

Here are the bits of the draw that include our clubs:

15 Barking or Margate v Tooting & Mitcham United
16 Haringey Borough v Chipstead or Canvey Island
18 Royston Town v Haywards Heath Town
19 Bognor Regis Town v East Thurrock United
20 Westfield v Poole Town or Hartley Wintney
21 Basildon United v Hornchurch
22 Wimborne Town or Taunton Town v Aveley
23 Worthing v AFC Sudbury
24 Hastings United v Whitehawk
25 Carshalton Athletic v Frome Town
26 Marlow or Sholing v Barton Rovers
27 Truro City or Blackfield & Langley v Kingstonian
28 Maldon & Tiptree v Folkestone Invicta
30 Wingate & Finchley v St Ives Town or Soham Town Rangers
or Hayes & Yeading United
31 Hitchin Town or Bedfont Sports v Paulton Rovers or Larkhall Athletic
32 Bishop’s Stortford or Enfield Town v Swindon Supermarine or Thatcham Town
34 Cinderford Town or Merthyr Town v Potters Bar Town
35 Needham Market v Leatherhead

All ties must be played on Saturday 9 November 2019, kick-off 3.00pm with replays on or before Thursday 14 November 2019, kick-off 7.45pm. Clubs may mutually agree to extra time and penalties to determine the winner of a first match without having a replay and this must be confirmed on the Match Arrangement Form, in accordance with FA Trophy Rule 11(a).
