Three hours before kick off, and Regent confirm a quartet of new arrivals

Brightlingsea Regent have announced four new signings in the hours before kick off in their bottom of the table clash with Corinthian-Casuals.

Regent, whose last victory was against today's opponents on August 31st, start by strengthening the last line of their defence with the arrival of Jake Jessup from Cambridge City. Jake has previously turned out for Mildenhall Town, Lowestoft Town and Chelmsford City. He made his Cambridge debut last month in victory over Basildon United, but picked up a red card at the end of that match and hasn't featured since.

Forward Joe Maybanks comes in from Stanway Rovers, and he is a returning player. He's played for Regent previously, and has also played for AFC Sudbury, Bishop's Stortford and Braintree Town.

Lewis Hewitt moves over from Witham Town, for who he has made thirteen appearances this season, scoring two goals. Lewis started life at Norwich City, and has also played for Ware and Maldon & Tiptree, amongst others.

Finally, Samuel Coombes joins directly from the Jammers. Sam has made fourteen appearances this season, mainly from the bench, and made his last appearance in victory over Bury Town in the Velocity Trophy last month.
