Former Burgess Hill man Daniel debuts for Wands- again

Cray Wanderers yesterday gave a second debut to former Burgess Hill Town forward Daniel Uchechi in their defeat at Cheshunt.

Daniel started his second spell with the Hillians in July, after joining the club for the first time in March 2020, from Hornchurch. He started his career at Charlton Athletic, moved to West Ham, and whilst playing in Nigeria had loans at Leicester City and Sheffield Wednesday. He played in Scotland for Aberdeen, spent some time in Sweden, and in recent years has played for Boreham Wood, Hendon, Hampton and Richmond Borough, Cray Wanderers and South Park, before his time with Hornchurch.

He also played international football for Nigeria at Under 20 and Under 23 level, and made six appearances for East Grinstead Town last season- and eight appearances for the Hillians, with one goal, this.
