Defender moves up to join Ramsgate

Ramsgate have just announced the signing of Chatham Town defender George Sheminant.

George was born in Gillingham and joined the Gills youth setup aged just eight, before signing an under sixteen apprenticeship in February 2017- alongside Roman Campbell, a striker who should be playing alongside him again shortly, so long as he has recovered from an ankle injury sustained against Chipstead in September.

George can play as a centre back of a left back, and was impressive in Chatham's FA Cup win at Folkestone Invicta in September. He leaves with his club at the top of the SCEFL Premier Division and scoring goals for fun- sixty so far in only eleven league matches.
