A pair of Rams

Two new arrivals for Ramsgate

Ramsgate have announced the signings of Maliq Morris and Jashaun Chamberlin-Gayle.

Twenty year old midfielder Maliq came through the youth ranks at Dulwich Hamlet- although he did spend some time with Millwall. He didn't get a great deal of first team action at Champion Hill, and last season spent some time in the Pitching In Isthmian South Central, with Westfield, where he managed two appearances before the pandemic got in the way. Manager Matt Longhurst welcomed his arrival, saying:

"Maliq has a great passing range and I'm confident he will take the league by storm this year, this is a really exciting signing for us."

Defender Jashaun has been part of the Crystal Palace Academy setup, and has been a regular in the Under 18 and Under 21 squads at Selhurst Park. He was actually set to join the club at the end of last year, but the pandemic got in the way. Longhurst stated:

“Jashaun is a footballing centre back with the aggressive side to his game also this is yet another exciting young signing, I can’t wait to see his progress.“
