A pair of Wolves

FC Romania bring in two

FC Romania yesterday picked up their first points- and first victory- of their Pitching In Isthmian South Central campaign, helped by the arrival in their side of Shane Cojocarel, best known for his period with Premier Division landlords Cheshunt, and Williams Danquah, who comes in from Ware.

Attacking midfielder Shane has played for a number of our clubs, many of them on loan during a period when he was at Barnet, first as a scholar and later as a professional. The list includes Billericay Town, Northwood, Met Police, Merstham and Horsham, but he really came to our attention with Maldon and Tiptree during 2018-19, where he played twenty times and scored four goals. He moved on to Cheshunt later than season, and was their Playoff Final hero as they earned promotion, scoring two of their three goals against Bracknell Town, which gave him a total of eight goals in eleven appearances for the Ambers that season.

Williams has played for Dulwich Hamlet, Wingate and Finchley, Hertford Town, Haringey Borough, Bishop's Stortford and Thamesmead Town. He moved to Wodson Park for the 2018-19 season, and had just begun his third campaign with the club, making two appearances this season.

Shane sadly managed less than half an hour of his debut before picking up a knock, whilst Williams played the entire match.
