A trio of Wasps

Three more impressive signings for East Grinstead Town- including one from Dorking Wanderers and another from Kingstonian

East Grinstead Town have been in touch to confirm the signings of Dan Thompson, Jerome Beckles and Sean Clohessy.

Striker Thompson made half a dozen appearances for the club as the season drew to a close, scoring two goals. He joined from Kingstonian, and will be familiar to Pitching In Isthmian League supporters not only from his time at the K's, but because he's also played in our league for Hampton & Richmond Borough, Bognor Regis Town, Chipstead, Burgess Hill Town and Tonbridge Angels- and has more recently spent time at a higher level with Braintree Town and Dulwich Hamlet.

Beckles, the Dorking Wanderers midfielder, joins on loan. He's made more than three hundred appearances for Wanderers, an important part of the squad that won our Premier Division in 2019 and won the South Division Playoffs in 2017.

Defender Clohessy was an almost ever-present for Kingstonian last season, making forty two appearances- and it is rather a surprise to see him move on. The player is a seasoned professional with more than two hundred and fifty appearances in the full time ranks with the likes of Gillingham, Southend United, Colchester United, Kilmarnock and Leyton Orient.
