Basildon hit by wanton vandalism- and need your help

Basildon United have revealed that they have been the victims of a large amount of wanton vandalism, as morons have broken into their Cousins Car Wash & Valeting Centre Stadium and caused a large amount of mindless destruction which will cost the club a great deal of money which they can ill afford.

On their Facebook Page they explain:

'Our club is a small community club that heavily relies on our committee members and volunteers to keep our ground maintained. It is soul destroying to see that those who decided to break in last night caused damage to our pitch- which the owner has worked tirelessly over the last few months to get ready for when we return. All of our sponsorship boards have been destroyed and burned, and our new burger trailer vandalised.

A reward of £250 is available for those who come forward with some information to ensure that the culprits are caught & dealt with.

We intend to prosecute personally even if the police do not wish to.

Please message us if you have any information.'

Head to Facebook and send a message to the club if you have any information which might lead to the prosecution of those involved.
