Bay midfielder signs on at Whitstable


Yesterday Herne Bay manager Ben Smith wished bon voyage to midfielder Tom Carlton, explaining that he'd decided to move from the club- and was leaving with their best wishes and their blessing. We wondered where he'd end up, and then we found that his voyage was rather a short one, as he has hopped along the coast and landed at Bay's Pitching In Isthmian South East rivals Whitstable Town.

Tom rejoined Bay for a second spell almost exactly a year ago. In his first spell he played seventy eight times and scored fourteen goals, and since his return he's made twenty two more without finding the net. In between that he played for Hythe Town, where he played thirty times.
