Chapman submits resignation and takes ‘leave of absence’

Hillians chairman considering next steps

Burgess Hill Town have confirmed that boss Ian Chapman has submitted his resignation following last night’s 8-0 hammering at the hands of Bognor Regis Town.

In a statement just released, Hillians chairman Kevin Newell advises that he is considering the matter, and that Chapman has taken a ‘leave of absence’ in the meantime.

Former Crawley Town midfielder Simon Wormull and General Manager John Rattle will take charge of the side for Saturday’s match against Bishop’s Stortford.
