Former Finchley boss takes over at Westfield

Lane the new man at Woking Park

Westfield have announced that their replacement for Tony Reid, who left the club exactly one month ago, is former Wingate and Finchley boss Simon Lane.

Simon, who was both manager and Director of Football at Summers Lane until January 2016, previously managed Windsor & Eton and Maltese side Naxxar Lions. Since his departure from the Blues he has managed at Northwood and at Egham Town, and last season helped out Hayes & Yeading United.

He is a UEFA A Licenced coach, and has also worked at Maidenhead United as a coach. He takes over at a club who were in fifth place in the South Central Division when last season came crashing to a premature end, and who qualified for the playoffs in 2018-19.
