Hanwell Town take over the airwaves as they promote their green credentials

Hanwell Town yesterday launched their own sustainability strategy to mark Earth Day- and the story was then picked up by BBC News, who designated the club 'The Green Geordies.' Previously the only green Geordies we'd seen were on Bigg Market in the early hours of a Saturday morning, but we're very proud of Town's work on the environment and hope that many more of our clubs pick up the baton.

Chief Sustainability Officer Thom explained why sustainability is important to the club, and why it should be important to the game as a whole.
