K's legend Thommo runs to help vulnerable children

And you can show your support

Kingstonian legend Adam Thompson is running ten miles every day for ten days to raise money for Sparkle Malawi- and would be grateful for your support.

Defender Adam played for the K's for many years after making his debut in the summer of 2008, and these days is their Equality and Diversity Officer. Proud of the K's links with the charity, who provide food, healthcare, education and more to deprived communities across the south-east African country, he has taken their ten miles in ten days challenge and multiplied the distance by ten- and is trying to raise one thousand pounds.

The money is very important to the charity, because, as he explains:

"

  • £5 buys a school pack, with all the essentials for children at school
  • £15 will sponsor a child to receive nutrition, education and medical care for a month
  • £25 buys a goat to make a sustainable living for a family, & give children nutritious milk
  • £50 sponsors an ambulance for a week to provide essential emergency care
  • £100 will fund medical supplies for a week, for both children and adults"

He's already made more than nine hundred pounds, and you can add to that here.
