More Terrors!

Tooting's squad now goes up to eleven!

Yesterday we told you all about five signings at Tooting and Mitcham United. Well we should have held on a little, as today the club confirmed another six!

Three are new arrivals. In come Gary Ross, Sinn’kaye Christie and Mark Waters. The other three are returning, and they are Akheem Belford, Jamarie Brissett and Duncan Culley.

Goalkeeper Gary moves over from South Central rivals Westfield, where he was in excellent form last season, as fifth place Field had the third best defensive record behind- you guessed it- Tooting and Mitcham United. He'd been at Woking Park since 2016, and previously played for Bedfont Sports and Egham Town.

Defender Sinn’kaye heads up the A23 from Whitehawk, where he ended last season, making four appearances after signing on in January. That was his second spell with the Hawks, as he was part of their Premier Division side in 2018-19, and he spent the first part of last season with Merstham, playing sixteen times. He previously played for Hastings United.

Mark, so the club have advised us, is a central midfielder who played for Edinburgh UAFC last season, represented Scotland in the university home nations, and played for Worcester Park FC prior to leaving for his studies.

Returning for another season, centre back Akheem came through the Development side before making twenty five appearances last season, whilst Jamarie has also played for Whyteleafe and Three Bridges after coming through the Terrors youth setup. The forward got eight goals in his nineteen appearances last season.

Striker Duncan joined the club in February, and managed only two appearances before everything crashed to a halt. He formerly played for Hayes & Yeading United and Hampton & Richmond Borough, scoring sixteen goals for Hayes as they won the South Central title in 2018-19, and twenty one the season before. He scored eleven goals in his time with the Beavers, and also spent time at Whitehawk, Bishop's Stortford and Bromley.
