Rooks the latest to provide free meals for hungry children

The Dripping Pan becomes an enormous free restaurant this week

Lewes have become the latest of our clubs to support Marcus Rashford's campaign to feed hungry children, opening at lunchtime every weekday this half term to help.

In an article on the club website, the Rooks explain:

'No children should ever go hungry. That's something everyone can agree on.

So, thanks to an initiative by local Rooks fan James Sale, with the backing of other voluntary aid organisations around Lewes, we are opening up The Dripping Pan this half term to any kids who want a lunchtime meal.

Just turn up. No one will ask you anything and we will feed you really good food - meat and vegetarian, hot food or packed lunch food to go. It's up to you. And there's free tea & biscuits for accompanying adults too.

Opening times are Monday to Friday, noon to 2pm.'
