Stuart Nethercott and Karl Duguid take up joint-manager posts at Coggeshall Town

Coggeshall Town yesterday announced a joint-managerial team, both of who will be instantly recognisable to Isthmian League watchers.

Stuart Nethercott and Karl Duguid have taken up the posts, and Karl told the club website:

“The opportunity to manage Coggeshall Town and build on their recent successes and the excellent foundations Graeme, Olly and John have built in such a short space of time is something that excites me and I can’t wait to get going.

The squad is in great shape and there’s a real excitement amongst the boys of what we can push on and achieve this season.

I’m pleased to be working alongside Neths (Stuart Nethercott) and Pully (Michael Pulford) as I did at Heybridge and as a management team we feel we have the experience and attributes to take Coggeshall to the next level and beyond.”

Michael Pulford also joins as Assistant Manager.

Stuart and Karl worked together, as you will recall, at Heybridge Swifts- where Karl was Manager, and Assistant under Julian Dicks. As a player, he made more than four hundred appearances for Colchester United.

Stuart was a playing legend with Millwall, and also made more than fifty appearances at Tottenham Hotspur. He returns to the club after being an important part of their success when they won promotion to the Isthmian League in 2017-18.
