Caroline McRoyall to leave her role as Tooting Chair

Caroline McRoyall is standing down from her role as Chair of Tooting & Mitcham United over the summer as she and her family move to Eastbourne.

Caroline has been Chair of the Club since August 2019 and enjoyed the Club’s on field success over the first half of the 2019/20 season until it was cut short by Covid. At the start of the delayed 2020/2021 season Caroline took on the additional role of match day Covid Officer to ensure the risk of Covid-19 was reduced. She has also acted as a consultant for the Club and will continue to assist in this capacity.

Caroline McRoyall said:

‘Despite the challenges of Covid-19 in the past two seasons, I have enjoyed my time at the club, it has given me a real insight into the running of a club at this level and the staff, coaches, volunteers and supporters have all been great. I hope to still catch a game or two in future seasons, particularly if any away matches are close to the sunshine coast’.

Steve Adkins, Main Board Director added:

‘We are really sorry to see Caroline leave her role as Chair of the Club, she has done a fantastic job; everyone has nothing but praise for her support, energy and enthusiasm. Whilst we will miss her on match days, I am delighted that the Club will have a continuing relationship with her. I intend to return to the role of Chair until there is a new appointment.'
