Thank you from the Urchins!

Hornchurch Chairman Alex Sharp has been in touch to express his gratitude

The outpouring of support for Hornchurch from across the Isthmian League has been incredible in recent weeks, and it hasn't gone unnoticed at our FA Trophy Finalists. Chairman Alex Sharp got in touch yesterday with a message of thanks, and we thought we'd share it with you.

"It hasn’t really sunk in yet; what a day, what an achievement. We know we have a special group of players and management team at Hornchurch but what has taken me by surprise is the level of support we received from our fellow Isthmian League clubs and board members of the League, wishing us well before the game and congratulating us afterwards. It has been very humbling, but a reminder- if it were needed- of what a family and community the Isthmian leagues are. There is life outside of the National Leagues and we are very proud to be flying the flag for all non league clubs on 22nd May 2021, where we will put our best foot forward to bring the Trophy home.

I’d like to give special thanks to everyone involved in the Isthmian League who has supported Hornchurch in this incredible journey. In what has been the most challenging of years, it really has meant so much to us. We look forward to seeing you all next season when hopefully things will improve from the last two seasons we’ve endured."

Thanks to Alex for his message. We're quite sure that, come 22nd May, we'll all be Urchins for a day and willing on the team in red!
