Tom's a Hornet!

Kingstonian Kavanagh is Horsham bound

Horsham have announced the signing of Kingstonian midfielder Tom Kavanagh.

Tom, who was in his third spell with the K's, managed eleven appearances and two goals in our very much reduced 2020-21 campaign, which followed forty and ten the season before- rather impressive, particularly considering we didn't finish that one either! Tom was a big part of the Merstham side which reached the Playoff Final in 2018-19, and previously played for the likes of Sutton United, Met Police, Whitehawk, Canvey Island and Dulwich Hamlet.

He told the Hornets website:

"When I spoke to Dom (manager) and Simon (head of player recruitment) it was a no-brainer because the direction the club’s going in is a positive one with the move to the new stadium and the fanbase growing like it has done.

I think they were surprised I was available to be honest, which was a compliment in itself.

Dom wants to achieve promotion, which is why I’ve come to the club. I don’t really want to go anywhere to play just for the sake of playing, I’m still hungry for success, and just love the whole feel of the club.”
