The very first Vital Risk Solutions Manager of the Month Awards for September/October, then, look like this:

Premier Division

Worthing started this season as the ended the last one, in fine form- and as we entered our second lockdown of the year were in their usual place at the top of the Premier Division table. Eight league matches brought seven victories and twenty two goals, the best tally- on both counts- in our top flight. Our congratulations go to the boss of the Mackerel Men, Adam Hinshelwood.

North Division

We’re off to Suffolk, and we’re delivering plaudits to Bury Town boss Ben Chenery. Ben’s merry men have been great in both League and Cup since the start of the campaign, unbeaten in the North Division- and indeed only dropping points once- whilst making their way to the Fourth Qualifying Round of the FA Cup after starting in the Preliminary Round. With only two goals conceded they have the best defence in the division, and they are no slouches at the other end, either! Congratulations to Ben- and indeed to all at Ram Meadow.

South Central Division

Bracknell Town ended last season like an express train, so it should come as no surprise that they haven’t looked in danger of being derailed this season either. With four wins and a draw from their five league matches they’ll approach the restart in fifth place, three points off the top but with an incredible three matches in hand- a legacy of a cup run which saw them reach the Third Qualifying Round and a Trophy run which will continue when we resume. Manager Bobby Wilkinson has surely earned the right to be giving it large on Larges Lane!

South East Division

When we ended last season- albeit prematurely- with East Grinstead Town propping up the South East Division, little did we expect them to be challenging at the top end of the table soon after the restart. But in truth they are doing more than challenging; they have, at times, been quite sublime- still unbeaten after six matches and having scored sixteen goals. Leigh Dynan, we salute you- and more than our salutations you’re going to get a shiny trophy to help you remember these moments forever. Congratulations to Leigh and his hive of Wasps.

We'll be back with the December awards in early January.
