Wasps bring in Gasson

East Grinstead Town have just confirmed the signing of experienced defender Jay Gasson, who finished last season with Walton Casuals in the Southern League.

Jay has played at a considerably higher level than Step Four, principally for Woking, Havant and Waterlooville, Basingstoke Town and Hampton and Richmond Borough. He was last an Isthmian back in 2017-18, when he was an almost ever-present for Metropolitan Police as they finished their final Isthmian League season- for now, anyway- in tenth place and with a run to the Final of the Velocity Trophy.

He will add considerable guile and experience to the Wasps defence, and is the latest of a collection of eye-catching signings by manager Leigh Dynan.
