Fifty Thousand Rocks!

Bognor crowdfunding reaches an incredible milestone

Last week we told you how Bognor Regis Town had already started spending the money raised from their crowdfunder- but come here, there's more!

The club have already put in new floodlights and a new PA system, the main stand has been demolished- see above- and they are to put in a new covered area behind one goal to replace the one that blew away last winter, as well as building a new toilet block. Well perhaps they can now afford to do even more, as earlier today their fundraising efforts remarkably smashed through the fifty thousand pounds mark.

General manager Simon Cook, speaking to the club website, expressed his delight:

"The loyalty of Rocks fans never ceases to amaze us and once again they have stepped up in our hour of need. It is an incredible effort and one which tells you so much about the fabric of this very special club."

You can read more, including the reactions of manager Jack Pearce and Commercial Manager Dave Robinson- who couldn't help referencing the fact that they've raised more than Worthing (!)- by heading here.

Congratulations to all at Nyewood Lane. We look forward to watching in even greater comfort during 2020-21!
